BIRTHDAY..........
It's all joy and merry making on birthdays.
Most friends and loved ones wish you a "Happy Birthday".
With wide smiles, we say thank you.
And oh, then comes the hugs and parcels.
Some big and some small.
Some cool and some not so cool.
But hey, who cares....??

It's the thought behind it that matters.
But seriously though;
Are we really always that happy on our birthdays?
Is it really a day to be partying and having fun?
In as much as we ought to appreciate our being alive,
We also ought to sit and think through our life options;
where we've come from, where we are and where we're going.
Some would argue that we could do so on other days.
They are certainly right but hey!!!
What better time to do so but on your birthday.
That is a whole year's review of your life.
Decisions we've made, whether good or bad;
Friends to keep and those to do away with.
Spend some time on your birthday to reflect on your life.
Make new choices while keeping some old ones.
